Elderly Care

What is elderly care at home?

Elderly care at home can be anything from short visits for an hour a day for some support with cooking, dressing and domestic tasks, right through to live in care.

The HCare Group offers a fully managed and regulated elderly care at home service provided by expertly trained carers. Our elderly care can be provided on a permanent basis or as a respite care service, which is a short-term arrangement that affords a family carer a break whilst their parents or loved one receives high-quality, personalised care at home.

Our carers will work closely with you, your family, your health care team and other community professionals to provide a holistic approach to care that meets all your practical, physical and emotional needs. This care is always provided on a one-to-one basis, something that is difficult to achieve in other clinical or residential settings.

What’s included in our elderly care service?

We know how important it is for people to retain choice and control in life, particularly if they have lived many years independently. Our professional carers can provide a range of services in your home to help you live life on your terms whilst improving health outcomes and quality of life:

Safe mobility around your home

We have an Occupational Therapist, who provides guidance and expert advice as to how to improve safe movement and mobility around your home, whilst minimising falls.

Medication management

Our carers are trained in medication management and use a tracking system to ensure all medications are managed proactively and effectively. This can help improve health outcomes, reduce pain, manage symptoms and prevent dangerous medication interactions.

Sensitive personal care

Our professional carers can provide discreet and sensitive support with bathing, toileting, grooming and other personal care tasks so that you are always looking and feeling your best.

Planning and cooking meals

Meals can be planned and cooked according to your choice and nutritional needs, all served at a time that suits you. If you enjoy cooking or baking as a pastime, our carers will encourage you to be as active as you wish to be.

Domestic tasks

Our carers will take on any household duty for you so that your home is kept to the high standards you expect. This can include everything from dusting, washing up, and ironing to running errands or picking up medication.

Companionship as and when you need it

Our carers will provide companionship whilst ensuring your privacy is respected. You will be well-matched with a carer who shares similar values and interests to make life more interesting, stimulating and enjoyable.

What are the benefits of elderly care at home?

We believe there’s no place like home to receive the specialist care and support you need. Here are just some of the life-changing benefits of receiving elderly care in your own home:

Bespoke care and support

Our elderly home care is guided by you and how you wish to live your life. We tailor the care we provide to your goals, wishes and personal preferences so you always receive care that meets all your needs. Your carer truly gets to know you and provides care on a one-to-one basis, something that is difficult to achieve in other care settings.

A personalised plan of care

We will work closely with you and your healthcare team to create a bespoke plan of support based on your care needs and preferences. Our carers are there to help you live life on your terms, and that includes maintaining all the hobbies, interests and activities you love.

Stay in the home you love

Our specialist elderly care delivered by experienced carers allows you to stay in the comfort and familiarity of home whilst receiving the support you need. Staying in the home and community you love has far-reaching benefits for not just physical and emotional health, but overall well-being and quality of life.

Enjoy continuity of care

Unlike agencies, we directly employ our carers. Our dedicated carers enjoy the security of being employed, which means they stay with us longer. This allows your carer the time to really get to know you and form a trusting relationship – whilst families enjoy the continuity and consistency of having the same care team looking after their loved ones.
